It definitely sounds like something you'd hear playing a video game. It's not bad. Keep it up ^^

SiXWiNGS responds:

So like over a year later I notice I have reviews! O_o
Thanks!! I haven't really recorded much more, but I plan on starting back up again.

I really enjoyed the beginning and the build-up to the first drum break. It's very smooth and it transitions nicely. To me, everything was put together quite nicely!

ShiftingConix responds:

Thank you very much! It's very much appreciated :)

The guitar, it sounds slightly distorted and makes the entire track a little edgy. I don't know if you intended to make it that way but it's distracting. I liked the supporting cello sounds though. I feel if you could just fix the guitar it'd give it a much more ambient feel : )

Tristanus responds:

Thanks for your review : )

I wanted the guitar to sound a bit distorted, as you said. It probably comes from my interest for post-hardcore and post-rock soundings. I won't register this one again, but i'll keep your point in mind for my next ones.
I'm glad you liked the cello sound. I'ts not easy to make it sound "natural", because of the amp settings.

I love the build-up especially at 1:00. The climax reminds me of something along the lines of the movie, "Signs". It's nice, I just wish the entire piece was a little longer. I think this could've been turned into something grand!

It takes just a tad too long to get started : ( Some of the sounds used are really weird. I'm guessing that's what you were going for?

SammyFox responds:

I never get my songs to sound the way I'd like them to sound so I just go with what I think sounds closest.

but personally I like using those weird-sounding instruments <3

It's calms and it flows very nice, I'm not extremely helpful when it comes to critiquing Hip Hop songs, so sorry about the cruddy review : (

haha thanks :)

Really enjoyed the sounds you used for it. I liked the first 2 minutes more than anything and the ending was nicely done. Great job and sorry to hear it was zero-bombed :((

Developer responds:

Actually I'm really used to zero bombing, so it's ok) Also thank you for voting! :)

Love the piano in the beginning.... : )) and the gradual tempo changes. It keeps it interesting. I don't understand why but it feels as if it's missing something, like there needs to be something supporting the piano. (I think it's just the fact that this is reminding me of another song)

It's not overwhelmingly beautiful but it's very well written! Nice job!

Stargenx responds:

Thanks for the review! What song is it reminding you of?

I enjoyed the piano, I feel it could've been a little better if you'd used more chords. Everything about it is decent BUT the drums. They just don't seem to really help the song at all : ( I hate to say this but I have to agree with just about everything 'ucgga2' is saying. (Excluding the comments about the ending and the "difference made". [I don't believe he's trying to troll you, just a little constructive criticism]

swordsofe responds:

Well this was the first cover I ever did anyway. I may redo this at some point I had a bad tooth at the time and i was really sick from it. I was luckly to make it too the Dr. to get it taken care of in time.

The song doesn't seem to actually finish before it loops and the 8-bit sounds are just a little too harsh for my liking : (

sajo1 responds:

where it ends it loops back in the file usable in NES emulators. 8 bit is a little jarring for some ears though. thanks for the honest review ;)
